Badger & Co, Restaurant General Manager
Base Salary of £40,000 + £5,000k Tronc Average + Up to 40% of Salary Bonus
Badger and Co has been established on Castle Street in the heart of the new town, mainly serving Badgers Burrow of cocktails and small plates inspired by being the home of Author Kenneth Grahame who wrote Wind in the Willows.
2024 is time for Badger to open a new chapter and follow the path of being a food led concept and allowing the restaurant to take centre stage. This development is in its infancy and requires restaurant operator who can help bring our ideas to life.
Concepts could include tasting menus as well as showcasing fabulous wines. Badger and Co is a 42 cover restaurant with a private dining area as well as courtyard that welcomes a mixture of locals, tourists and corporate groups.
Duties
- Manage and oversee the entire restaurant operation
- Deliver superior guest experiences
- Ensuring guest satisfaction
- Plan and develop overall restaurant strategy
- Entrepreneurial drive with a clear understanding of the current market
- Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity and sale
- Control costs and minimise waste
- Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions
Required Skills
- Three years minimum of management experience
- Extensive food and wine knowledge
- Experience in event planning
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Good Financial management skills
