£37,000 per annum plus bonus scheme

Preferably based in Glasgow or Edinburgh with a willingness to travel

Contract for 45 hours a week, 4 or 5 days per week ensure key shifts are supported. Permanent, Full Time

Signature Group are hiring for an Operations Support Chef to support our teams across Edinburgh and Glasgow. We offer competitive pay and benefits at venues across Scotland working for one of Scotland’s leading independent hospitality businesses.

About You

  • Reporting to the Group Executive Chef, you will inspire & support our Back of House teams.
  • Minimum 5 years of Head Chef experience (required) and 8 years of Chef experience (preferred)
  • Ability to follow and enforce company specifications and hygiene standards
  • Good organisational skills
  • Strong team leader
  • Driven individual who always wants to push boundaries and hit targets
  • Someone who can always train and elevate the level of our kitchen teams
  • Must have own transport, travel costs re-imbursed

Key Responsibilities

  • Reactive hands-on kitchen support for our Back of House teams
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen standards by regular auditing to ensure all kitchen trade safely
  • Quick reaction to non-compliance, hygiene results or poor gp’s%
  • Conduct periodic site visits to discuss mystery customer visits and direct feedback, monitor stock control & staffing challenges
  • Complete understanding of all internal system with a problem-solving initiative
  • Support with the Implementation of our internal development programme for our Kitchen teams, which allows us to motivate, train and develop a strong internal succession plan
  • In times of mechanical, breakdown or power failures, being able to cope with high pressure and complex situations.
  • Flexible and able to problem solve during out of hours and inconvenient times whilst maintaining clear lines of communication with the Group Executive Chef
