Maintenance Assistant

From £11 per hour plus benefits

35 hours per week

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team at The Rutland, a bespoke and luxurious city centre boutique hotel situated comfortably and conveniently between Edinburgh’s main shopping area and the busy financial district.

The Rutland Hotel is steeped in a history all of its own and has become an Edinburgh institution in its own right. Today, it is home to The Huxley, one of the city’s most refreshing bars, Heads & Tales, our gin emporium and Edinburgh’s finest gourmet steak restaurant-Kyloe.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager; you will carry out day-to-day maintenance in the rooms and public areas, you will carry out basic maintenance such as minor painting and decorating, you will ensure all work is completed in accordance with the Health & Safety regulations.  You will assist with stock deliveries, manage the storage space and look after the general upkeep of storage and public areas. You will be responsible for recording and documenting all maintenance work.

Ideally the Maintenance Assistant will have worked previously in a similar position, with basic health and safety knowledge. You will be well presented and have good communication skills.
