Head Pastry Chef – Full Time
£38,000 Salary plus, £4,000 TRONC
The Role
We are looking for a Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team and oversee dessert and bakery production for The Huxley and Kyloe – Edinburgh’s premier bar and steak restaurant. With Kyloe recently awarded 1 AA Rosette and striving for a second this year, this is an exciting time to join our team.
What You’ll Do:
- Menu development across both venues, crafting exceptional pastry and dessert offerings.
- Chocolate work for our hotel partners.
- Homemade bread & petit fours to elevate our guest experience.
- Dish specifications, recipe development, allergens, and costings – ensuring consistency and quality.
- Rota management & training of a small, passionate team.
What We’re Looking For:
- A creative and skilled pastry chef with a strong background in high-end dining.
- Experience in menu development and chocolate work.
- Excellent understanding of cost control, allergens, and dish specifications.
- Leadership skills to train and inspire a small team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of pastry across two respected venues while playing a key role in Kyloe’s push for 2 AA Rosettes.
