Cold Town House is a leading bar and restaurant in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket and we’re looking for a vibrant and energetic person to join their sales and reservations function.
This is a full-time role (Sunday – Thursday, 9am – 5.30pm) initially on a 6-month contract with consideration to extend. It is based at Cold Town House and also at our Signature Group Head Office just along the road in Edinburgh’s West End.
The successful candidate will act as a support function for Cold Town House with key responsibilities including dealing with reservations requests, working on group and corporate bookings and ensuring that the kitchen team and managers are fully briefed on upcoming events. This is a really fun role within a great venue for someone who has either worked in reservations or front of house already or is generally super organised with excellent attention to detail. It can be very fast-paced but is very rewarding when it all comes together!
Great customer service is a must along with attention to detail and exceptional administrative skills.
Desirable skills include;
- Excellent phone manner and email etiquette
- Experience of Open Table though this is not essential as training will be provided
- Experience of working in a call centre or in a capacity which required answering phones
- Excellent attention to detail
Responsibilities include;
- Fielding calls for the venue
- Helping guests with queries
- Working on large and corporate bookings
- Responding to reservation enquiry emails
- Responding to Facebook/Instagram messages for reservation enquires
- Helping with social media posts
Full training for this role will be provided.
